Nakahili - A Family Agricultural Community

We at Work Force Developers LLC are proposing to create “Nakahili,” a workforce family agricultural community, in Waikōloa in the area near the intersection of Mamalahoa Highway with Waikōloa Road.

As a family agricultural community Nakahili will:

  • Include 1000 lots and homes for sale and over 100 rental homes

  • Include farm dwellings on agricultural lots

  • Allow for agricultural operations

Two parks are proposed:

  • A community green for community activities and events adjacent to the village area; and

  • An approximately 28-acre regional park.

Community infrastructure will be provided on-site, including water wells, water tanks, a small wastewater treatment facility to serve the village area, and several large detention basins.

Approvals for Nakahili will be processed under Chapter 201H, Hawai‘i Revised Statues (HRS).

Greater than 50 percent of the total number of for sale agricultural dwellings and lots and village rental apartments will be priced in accordance with the County of Hawaii’s Office of Housing and Community Development’s (OHCD) Affordable Housing Guidelines.

Agrihood - So much more than a neighborhood

Rich land to garden and room for livestock, Nakahili is everything you want in a neighborhood, and so much more.

With families in mind, we've included amenities that make living easy and enjoyable. Situated just above Waikoloa on land rich in Hawaiian history, you have that "away from it all" feeling while still within a short drive to modern conveniences.

We want your home to be the heart of your family's memories.  That's why we chose Nakahili, a place where families gather and tradition remains.

Coffeeshop

RICH Coffee ON THE SLOPES OF MAUNA KEA

The anchor to many communities is the neighborhood coffee shop - whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee on the way to work, meeting friends or just going to hang out and catch up on some emails. This is one of the small business ideas we hope Nakahili Village will offer.

Community Events

meet your neighbors at local events

We envision Nakahili as a warm, welcoming place to live and plan to host many community events right on our own Village Green, where neighbors can get to know eachother and families can make memories.

Neighborhood Parks & Trails

enjoy fresh air and a healthy lifestyle

Everyone is getting outside these day - whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, a horseback ride along a trail or playing with the kids in the park. When you live at Nakahili, you don’t even have to leave the neighborhood!

Storage

we kept convenience in mind

Who doesn’t need some extra storage space from time to time? A small storage building offers a convenient place to store those extra items you only need once in a while.

Nakahili

At Nakahili, we believe a true community should seamlessly meld into its surroundings. That's why we chose the hillside above Waikoloa for our location.
